I had the best time ever on Sunday evening because I had the opportunity to chat with one of my all time favourite dog professionals on the subject of pain and its influence upon the behaviour, welfare and movement of our dogs.
I’m lucky enough to be the host of the monthly ICB webinars, and I’ve had the opportunity to speak to so many fantastic experts in the field so when I knew Sarah Fisher was returning to present for us again, I was thrilled, and she didn’t disappoint.
The webinar was two and a half hours long, but honestly I think we could have quite cheerfully chatted for double that length of time.
If you missed it, the recording of the live event is available to purchase from the ICB website (icbglobal.net).
Ace freework was developed by Sarah, and it’s a really wonderful way to hands-off assess an animals fluidity of movement, it gives professionals and caregivers an opportunity to really watch how their dog moves, and can help to identify any areas of issue or difficulty in their range of movement. There are so many facets to learn about ACE freework, so if you’d like to find out more you can watch the ICB webinar or have a look at the “ACE Connections” facebook page.
This Sunday (28th August), myself and two of my Canine Massage Guild colleagues have a stall at the “Happy Staffie Fun Dog Show” near Bewdley (the full address is: Far Forest Showground, Callow Hill, DY14 9DA). We’ll be at the event all day providing free muscular health checks for your dogs, so if you’d like us to check your dog over for soft tissue injuries or chat to us about massage therapy for your dog… pop to see us at the Happy Staffie show from 10am.
I’ve added a subscribe option to my website so if you’d like to receive news (you wont be bombarded with junk, it will probably only be at monthly intervals), please add your details to my list.
